Farming Land

Buying farming land raises many of the same issues as buying any other property – but there are also additional factors to consider.

Due diligence is usually required.

For example, you will have to consider what water entitlements form part of the sale. The property might comprise different parcels of land that have been combined over the years, which will have to be investigated. You will also need to think about what livestock and business assets are being purchased, and whether there are any historic environmental issues to consider.
All of this helps determine the terms and conditions that will need to be included in the sale contract.

Whether you are selling or buying, our experienced team at Holcroft Lawyers can guide you through the whole process from start to finish.
