Water Entitlements

A ‘water share’ is an ongoing entitlement that defines the maximum amount of water share you are entitled to take from your water system in a year, whether that is a dam, river or some other water source.

The amount of water that is available for irrigation from your water system can then vary each season. This is called your water allocation.
The seasonal allocation of water will be based on a percentage of your water share volume as determined by the resource manager taking into account current resource conditions.
